It's only truly recycled once it's been made into something new
We buy scrap metal and run commercial paper, cardboard and plastic collections across NSW, then process it and sell it back into manufacturing.
One operator for metal, paper and plastic, from a single ute load to a standing weekly run
Most of the sites we service were running two or three separate contractors before they called us: one for the scrap bin, one for cardboard, and whoever would take the awkward stuff. The invoices never reconcile, and nobody owns the total number.
We take the lot. Metal crosses our own weighbridge, cardboard and film get baled either on your floor or at our facility, and it comes back to you on one statement built from weighbridge dockets rather than estimates.
The yard runs the same way for someone with a trailer on a Saturday morning as it does for a distribution centre on a standing Tuesday collection.
Annually Yang Recycling recovers, processes and returns material to market from:
- over450,000 tonnesof material recovered each year
- over3,000 businessesserviced across NSW
- over35 yearsin the Australian recycling industry

Our process
From your dock to a mill
Where a load goes after it leaves the weighbridge, what it gets graded as, and who ends up buying it.
How our process worksWhat we take

Sell us your metal
Copper through to car bodies. Bring it to a weighbridge or we'll send a bin and a truck for it.

Paper and cardboard
Cages for a small office, a compactor for a distribution centre. The equipment comes with the contract.

Plastic recycling
Stretch film, drums, crates and moulding offcuts, baled before they lose their grade.
Who we buy from
Start with whichever one sounds like you

Household Scrap
Whitegoods, fencing, hot water systems and whatever else is behind the shed.

Tradies & Builders
Cable, copper pipe, roof sheeting and reo, weighed while you wait on it.

Manufacturing Scrap
Swarf, offcuts and reject stock, collected at a rate that keeps up with your line.

Secure Document Destruction
Locked consoles on your floor, shredded at our facility, certificate back to you.
Advisory
Most sites are paying to landfill material that has a market value
We audit your streams physically rather than from a spreadsheet: what's in the general waste bin that shouldn't be, what's being collected too often, and where material is being downgraded by contamination it picks up on the way to the dock.
It is tedious work and it is where most of the savings sit. After that it is usually a matter of moving bins: a correct bin twenty metres closer to the bench beats any amount of staff training.
- Physical waste audit across every stream on site
- Equipment sized from measured volumes, not guesses
- Monthly reporting tied to weighbridge certificates
- Documentation formatted for your reporting framework
